You're in good hands here
I help you breathe through big feelings and create space for life’s expansions and contractions.
Together, we’ll strengthen your inner voice, cultivate ease, and reconnect with your natural rhythms.
I’ll help you distinguish fear from intuition, guide you through tough chapters, and celebrate your wins.
Education and Experience
I created my own major at University of California, Berkeley to immerse myself in courses on social change and democratic education. After several years working in the non-profit sector at the intersection of social work and events, I earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Somatics from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Much of my formal training as a therapist took place at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy and the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy — sliding-scale, trauma-focused counseling centers in San Francisco. I’ve supported youth in Bay Area schools and guided teen girls through rites-of-passage work with the Stepping Stones Project, grounding my practice in both personal healing and community care.
I have also been a founding board member of Groundswell Community Project, a surf therapy organization dedicated to cultivating mental health and belonging through ocean-based programming. In addition to serving in leadership, I trained with Groundswell as a surf therapy facilitator, deepening my capacity to integrate somatic, relational, and nature-based healing practices.
My most heartfelt work happened during the pandemic, co-facilitating a surf therapy program for grief filmed by National Geographic. If you’re a fellow water bug, you’re in good company — I often weave surf and water metaphors into sessions, inspired by the ocean’s healing power.
I continue to receive guidance from somatic psychotherapists trained in psychodynamic and body/mind approaches, most recently Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. I was clinically supervised by senior Hakomi trainer Scott Eaton, LMFT, and other Hakomi practitioners for several years. I’ve completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training, practiced traditional Mysore-style Ashtanga, taught Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga, and am a certified Reiki Master. I also hold Level 1 training in the Gottman Method, integrating evidence-based relational tools into my somatic approach.
“I hope you will go out and let stories, that is life, happen to you, and that you will work with these stories... water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom.
